This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 03, 2009:
Usually when someone pays me a compliment, or I accomplish something tremendous. I think my self-confidence is largely inflated by what others say, but at the same time I've learned to boost my self-confidence on my own over the years. Sometimes I don't think I give myself enough credit when I accomplish something.

Mitsu - it can be hard to break the habit of depending on outside confirmation of our worth by needing to hear it from others. I'm someone that has fallen into that trap too many times. It's good to hear you say that you have learned to boost your own self-confidence, too! Remembering to acknowledge our own accomplishments is important. It's funny how it is easier for us to tell others how wonderful they are, but we can find it difficult to say the same thing to the face in the mirror. Here's to remembering to appreciate our own best efforts!
Thank you so much for your words of wisdom, ntexas. They mean a lot.
